Passive Edge Tech has been invited to attend the 2025 China-Africa Energy Dialogue, contributing to Africa's energy transition and sustainable development.
On April 18, the 2025 China-Africa Energy Dialogue: African Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, co-hosted by the Investment and Technology Promotion Office (China·Beijing) of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Development Reimagined, was successfully held at the UNIDO Fourth Industrial Revolution Industry Accelerator in Hangzhou. As an innovative green technology company, Passive Edge Technology was invited to attend the dialogue, engaging with representatives from various countries and energy industry experts to explore pathways and practices for China-Africa cooperation in clean energy.
The dialogue focused on renewable energy investment opportunities, policy environments, and market trends within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.As a national-level green technology enterprise specializing in high-performance phase change energy storage materials and passive thermal regulation solutions, Passive Edge Tech shared our innovations in cold chain logistics, building energy efficiency, and temperature control for home textiles and furnishings during the dialogue. Our independently developed UltraST PCM (Ultra-high Thermal Conductivity Shaped Phase Change Material) and MOFPoly PCM (Nano Phase Change Microcapsules) are accelerating the large-scale application of green energy across various sectorsLeveraging Africa’s abundant solar energy resources, Passive Edge Tech has proposed a systemic solution that combines solar-powered refrigeration with phase change cold storage. This approach is especially suited for areas with unstable electricity supply or high energy access costs. Through this efficient and low-carbon cold chain system, we can provide sustainable temperature control for key sectors such as agricultural produce preservation and the transportation and storage of vaccines and medicines, contributing to improved food security and public health across Africa.
Africa is at a critical stage of its energy transition. We believe that low-carbon, intelligent, and localized energy solutions will play a key role in China-Africa cooperation. Looking ahead, Passive Edge Tech will continue to explore partnership opportunities in cold chain logistics, building energy efficiency, and temperature regulation for home textiles and furnishings across African markets — bringing more sustainable solutions to address the region’s energy and livelihood challenges.
